Commissioning Friends of Paul Taylor
The Commissioning Friends contribute to the creation of a new work by Mr. Taylor and support the creative process of one of America's greatest cultural icons. Each new work costs approximately $400,000 to create, rehearse, produce, and preserve. Initiated in 2005, The Commissioning Friends have helped underwrite Banquet of Vultures, Troilus and Cressida (reduced), Lines of Loss, De Sueños, De Sueños que se Repiten, Changes, Beloved Renegade, and Also Playing. Giving opportunities begin at $1,500 and are fully tax-deductible. As a thank you, your name will be published in a special section of Playbill during the annual New York City Center season. In exchange for a contribution of $2,500 or more, you will be invited to a special preview of the new work followed by dinner with Mr. Taylor and the dancers. For a gift of $25,000 or more your name will be included on the work's title page in the nightly stagebill whenever it is performed, in perpetuity.
